Simrad Robertson Steering Control System M/Y EL TIGRE 1 SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION 1.1 General The system is tailor made to specification and hence not standard. This documentation describes only the additional units and functions. The description of the AP9MK3 autopilot and FUA94 (Follow Up Amplifier) is provided by each separate manual.
Simrad Robertson Steering Control System M/Y EL TIGRE 2 OPERATION 2.1 Manoeuvring Switch on the autopilot system. The steering system is now ready for operation from any station. If you are at the Pilot House, press the “Station Select” button and verify that the yellow light indication on the switch comes on.

Simrad Robertson Steering Control System M/Y EL TIGRE • FU mode 2 Selects FU function via the autopilot when this line is connected to ground (Lo). • AUTO mode The combination of both the NFU Mode 1 and the FU mode 2, both connected to ground (Lo) will generate Auto function.
Simrad Robertson Steering Control System M/Y EL TIGRE This relay is slightly delayed and will only momentarily stay energized. The relay contact will hence provide a reset pulse to the FU91. When the FU91 is in command and the autopilot shall be activated, the FU91 MUST be switched off manually by pressing the TC button before the autopilot can be switched into Auto function.

Press the FU91 Take Command button and verify that the autopilot mode changes from NFU to FU. 4.2 Bucket/Crow’s nest Press any of the FU92 buttons and verify that the light turns on both buttons.
