  • Page 33 Presentation The WAY UP GO is a device designed for use in hospitals, clinics, retirement homes, nursing homes, at home... and must be operated by a caregiver. It is designed for use with an appropriate sling. This device has been designed for patients weighing up to 180 kg.

    Assembly instructions THE UNIT IS SUPPLIED FOLDED IN HALF WITH THE KNEE SUPPORT REMOVED. Loosen the top knobs to release the mast without removing it. Step 1: Fully unscrew the lower knobs and remove the mast axle. Step 2 : Lift the upper part of the unit by twisting it.

  • Page 37 Using the device - Your stand up lift is designed for transferring a patient and must not be used for any other purpose or for moving a patient over long distances. - Check that the patient’s weight does not exceed the maximum weight the lift can support. - Manoeuvre the stand up lift by pushing the handlebars, never by pushing the patient.
  • Page 38 Using the device • Patients with low muscle tone should be transferred to a semi-seated position. • Patients with medium muscle tone should be transferred to a standing position • For safe and effective raising, the patient’s hands should be placed on the handlebars on the handlebars provided (see photos above).

To select a sling size, the caregiver must match the chest circumference (sub-axillary sling) or waist circumference (back sling) with the dimensions on the chart below.
