605C: Owner’s Information Manual Air Filters When your heat pump needs additional heat to keep you comfortable your thermostat will turn on the supplemental heat (if equipped). The air filter(s) should be checked every 3 or 4 weeks and changed or Defrost Mode cleaned whenever it becomes dirty. -
