Similar to X1, except that the
number after the CONNECT
message reflects the DTE
interface speed rather than the
modulation speed. The result

When dialing using XO, Xl or Xl 1, the BUSY
signal will not be recognized since the BUSY
result code has not been enabled, and the
T1600 modem will perform ,a blind wait
before dialing.
When dialing using X2 or Xl2, the functional-
ity associated with the enabled result codes
will also be enabled. In particular, the BUSY
signal will be detected, and the modem will
require dial tone before dialing, even if the W
modifier is not entered.
