3. Set the SYSTEM
selector to
2 CH, MTX or SQ.
If the tape
contains SQ-encoded program material set the selector to SQ.
If it contains other type matrix-encoded
program
material,
set
the selector to MTX. All tapes are reproduced in two-channel
stereo by setting the selector to "2 CH".
4. Start the recorder in playback mode.
5. Adjust the VOLUME,
BALANCE
and
tone
controls
to your
preference.
TWO-CHANNEL
RECORDING
1. Turn on the receiver.
2. Keep the MONITOR
switch in SOURCE.
3. Set the FUNCTION
selector to the desired program;
FM STE-
REO, AM, PHONO
or AUX.
4. Start the recorder in recording
mode.
Adjust the recording
level at the recorder.
Any SQ program can be recorded as an SQ tape.
You can then
enjoy SQ reproduction by setting the SYSTEM
selector to SQ.
When
you
record other matrix program
material, play them back
with the SYSTEM
selector set to MTX.
Note
on
Recording
The VOLUME,
BALANCE,
TONE controls, LOUDNESS, HI-FILTER
switches, and the SYSTEM
selector do not affect the recording
results.
If the
connected
tape recorder
is a monaural
type, and the
program is stereophonic,
push in the MODE
switch to MONO.
When
using a three-head tape recorder, the recording signal can
be monitored by setting the MONITOR
switch to SOURCE,
and
the recorded signal can be monitored by setting the switch to
TAPE.
Then, instantaneous tape/source monitoring is possible
by setting the MONITOR switch alternately to TAPE and SOURCE.
But when
the DIN
5-pin connector
is used,
this tape/source
monitoring
is not advisable.

FOUR-CHANNEL
PLAYBACK
. Turn on the receiver.
. Set the SYSTEM
selector to "4 CH".
. Start the four-channel
tape recorder in the playback
mode.
. Adjust the VOLUME,
BALANCE
and
tone
controls to your
preference.
The MONITOR switch and the FUNCTION selector
do not work when setting the SYSTEM
selector to "4 CH".
