You must remove, replace, or loosen as many as 50 screws when you service the parts described in this chapter.

    Remove the bottom cover: Remove the two rubber feet (1). Remove the four Phillips M2.5 × 8.0 screws (2) from under the feet and the two Phillips M2.0 × 4.0 screws (3) along the bottom edge of the bottom cover. Use a plastic tool (1) to release the bottom cover (2) from the computer.

IMPORTANT: Removing a battery that is the sole power source for the computer can cause loss of information.

    Install the adapter bracket (1) next to the solid-state drive socket, and then install the Phillips screw (2) to secure the bracket. Insert the drive (1) into the socket, and then install the Phillips screw (2) to secure the drive. NOTE: Solid-state drives are designed with a notch to prevent incorrect insertion.
