The widget sends notifications about weather conditions that need special attention.
To turn notifications on or off:

Touch the current conditions icon or temperature.

Adjust settings:
To turn off notifications about weather in your chosen location, uncheck Live Weather
Notification.
To change the location for your weather notifications, touch Location.
To turn off alerts for all locations, touch Notifications > Severe weather alerts.

The first time you use this feature:

If you want to find this feature as an app, rather than opening Settings, turn on Show icon in the app
list.
