LINKAGE
Once a season lubricate all the pivot points on the b ake
and lift linkage with SAE 30 engine oil.
FRONT WHEELS
The front wheels are provided with grease fitti igs.
Lubricate at least once a season with automotive multi¬
purpose grease.
PIVOT POINTS
Lubricate all pivot points with light oil at least on ;e a
season.
BALL JOINTS
The ball joints and drag link ends are permanently
lubricated.

Disconnect the spark plug wire and
ground against the engine before
performing any adjustments, repairs
or maintenance.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
Refer to the chart on page 20 for trouble shooting
engine problems.
HYDROSTATIC OIL LEVEL
The hydrostatic oil level should be checked prior o ini¬
tial use, and after every 8 hours of operation.
To check the hydrostatic oil level, remove the tran smis-
sion panel by unscrewing the control knobs, removing
two truss machine screws and unplugging the safety
switch. The oil level must be between the low anc high
marks on the reservoir tank. See figure 14.
The following fluids are recommended for use in the
hydrostatic transmission.
1. Mobil Fluid 300
Never use a multi-viscosity oil.

Change^jfand filter initially after twenty hours of opera¬
tion; thereafter, change every 100 hours or once a year.
OIL FILTER
A full flow replaceable oil filter, located in the oil lines
under the frame near the right rear wheel, should be
replaced initially after twenty hours of operation.
Thereafter, replace every 100 hours for commercial or
industrial applications and yearly for normal usage. It
can be removed by turning it counterclockwise by hand.
Use Fram filter number PH-16; order part number
727-0162.
CRANKCASE OIL
To ensure maximum engine performance, perform the
following periodic maintenance:
Check the oil level in the crankcase before each use
of the machine and after every two hours of operation.
Keep the oil level between ADD and FULL. See figure
15.
FIGURE 15.
After the first two hours of operating a new engine, drain
the oil (see figure 15) from the crankcase while engine
is still hot and refill crankcase with new oil; thereafter
change the oil after every 25 hours of operation. This
