To search a preset station by PTY codes
A particular programme type broadcast can be located by specifying the
PTY codes.
1.
Press the RDS MODE button to select "PTY" while listening to FM
station.
2.
Turn the PTY SELECT control within 2 seconds to select the desired
PTY code. The PTY code changes as shown below;
NEWS: News
AFFAIRS: Current affairs
INFO: Information
SPORT: Sport
EDUCATE: Education
DRAMA: Drama
CULTURE: Culture
SCIENCE: Science
VARIED: Varied
POP M: Pop music
ROCK M: Rock music
M.O.R. M; Middle of the road music (easy-listening)
LIGHT M: Light classics
CLASSICS: Serious classics
OTHER M: Other music
WEATHER: Weather
FINANCE: Finance
CHILDREN: Children's programmes
SOCIAL: Social affairs
RELIGION: Religion
PHONE IN; Phone in
TRAVEL: Travel
HOBBIES: Hobbies
JAZZ: Jazz music
COUNTRY; Country music
NATION M: National music
OLDIES: Oldies music
FOLK M: Folk music
DOCUMENT: Documentary
TEST: Alarm Test
ALARM: Alarm
(or in the reverse sequence)
3. Press the PTY CHECK button within 10 seconds. "PTY CHK" blinks
on the display.
The unit searches 24 preset stations and stops when it finds a
broadcast of the PTY code you have selected, then tunes into that
station.
To continue searching after the first stop, press the PTY CHECK
button again while the display blinks.
If no broadcast is found, "NO PTY" appears, then the original
station is heard.
To cancel searching, press the PTY CHECK button.
LISTENING TO AUXILIARY SOURCES
1. Press the FUNCTION button to select "AUX INI" or "AUX IN2".
2.
Follow the instructions supplied with the auxiliary equipment.
TIMER OPERATION
(Using the remote control)
Using the timer
Set the on and off times, function to be used and volume level. Operation
will start with the selected function at the on time. The sound will be
gradually increased from a no-sound level to the volume setting (fade-in).
The power will be switched off at the off time.
The timer will function every day unless it is released.
Preparation
Note;
Make absolutely sure that the clock is set the correct time before setting
the timer.
Select the function for timer operation and prepare the sources to be
used.
If the function selected is tuner, tune in to the desired band and
station.
Adjust the volume level as desired.
Operation
1.
Press the SHIFT-(-TIMER buttons.

The previous timer on time setting appears.
2. Press the SHIFT -h ADJUST buttons within 10 seconds.

then press the SHIFT -i- ADJUST buttons.

The timer off time setting appears.

Set the timer off time as described in step 3. The original display
returns, then the timer operation standby mode is activated. "©"
remains lit.
5.
Press the ©/ON button to switch off the power.
"©" blinks during a timer-controlled operation.
To switch off the power during a timer-controlled operation, press the
©/ON button. The timer will be set in the standby mode.
To check the timer settings
Press the SHIFT -i- TIMER buttons repeatedly. The timer settings are
displayed in the following order:
On time —► Off time —► Function —► Original display returns
To change the settings, press the SHIFT -i- TIMER buttons to select the
setting to be changed, then press the SHIFT -i- ADJUST buttons so that the
display blinks. Change the setting as explained above.
To release the timer
After turning the power on, press the SHIFT -i- TIMER buttons, then press
the SHIFT + SET/CLEAR.
To set the timer again with the same settings
1.
Press the SHIFT + TIMER buttons, then the SHIFT + SET/CLEAR.
2.
Press the ©/ON button to switch off the power.
