    Description The modules described in this manual concern the wireless or wired (Ethernet) connection of weighing terminals manufactured by Coop Bilanciai. The weight data item and other accessory information are transmitted in the digital mode. The data item is picked up by the bus of the CPU or by an RS232 serial output.

    ______________________________________ DINET DIWIFI 1.5.5 Use in European Union countries The DIWIFI is a Class 1 device, as established by European Community Decision 2000/299/EC (Classification of radio equipment - Board band data transmission systems - Subclass 22). As such, they can be freely sold, used and installed in European Union countries (and in all countries that comply with the 1999/5/EC directive).

    ______________________________________ DINET DIWIFI 2. Delivery and installation DIWIFI and DINET The board should be housed in a vacant slot of the terminal. Refer to the manual of the specific weighing instrument when installing the optional boards. Proceed as shown in the following diagram.

However, the antenna should always be set in a vertically polarized position. Generally speaking, it is advisable to install the radio device as high as possible, with antennas in line-of-sight with the access point.

    ______________________________________ DINET DIWIFI 4. Customizing of software parameters To customize the parameters of the DIWIFI/DINET boards, these latter must be reached by means of an AP using the Digi Device Discovery program or by means of a common browser if the IP number is known.

    ______________________________________ DINET DIWIFI Attention An error indication will be displayed if the device appears with an IP number that does not belong to its sub-network. This means that the DIWIFI/DINET is on, that it has been able to connect itself, but that it has not received the IP number from the DHCP server.

The DIWIFI/DINET device allows connections to be made both between Bilanciai terminals and between external units like PC PLC, so long as they have an interface towards the network with TCP/IP protocol.
