This distorts the sound. Depending on the character of the sound, you can get various types of distortion, which are classified
into two main types, overdrive and distortion.
OVERDRIVE
This is a warm, natural-sounding distortion that you get when you turn up the volume on a tube amp.
DISTORTION
With this, you get not just amp distortion, but the deep, intense distortion of Heavy Metal and Grunge.
LEVEL (0 - 100)
This adjusts the volume of the effect when it is
on. Use this control to set the volume balance
desired when overdrive/distartion is to be
switched on and off.
TONE (-50 ~ +50)
Adjusts the tone. Values higher
than "0" cause the sound's
upper range to become more
prominent, giving it a harder
edge. As the value is
decreased below "0," the high
range frequencies are
suppressed, resulting in a
*sound with a softer tone.
Used to select the type of distortion.
"OVERDRIVE" or "DISTORTION" will appear
in the display, depending on the type selected.
(VINT Vintage Overdrive
This gives you a mild distortion similar to the sound
you get with the natural overdrive of an older amp.
(WARM) Warm Overdrive
With this effect, you get the richness of regular distortion
while preserving the delicate nuances characteristic of an
overdrive sound.
(CRUNCH) Crunch
This is crunch with a biting edge. The Pickup Select feature
offers a variety of changes in timbre.
(BLUES) Blues
From tight, bluesy distortion to solo sounds, you can use alter
the volume with this overdrive withaut losing any picking
nuance.
{HARD) Hard Distortion
This gives you a standard distortion sound that can be used in
a wide variety of musical genres.
(METAL) Metal Distortion
This metallic distortion, with its characteristic midrange, gives
you the sound of fully driven high gain amp.
{FUZZ) Fuzz
With this effect you get a new type of fuzz—boomy, while
also featuring good bite.
DRIVE (0 - 100)
Adjusts the degree of
distortion applied to the
sound. The distortion gets
more intense as the value is
increased,
