Step 2: Check in for your flight
Electronic bag tags may be used for travel solely within the
United States on Alaska Airlines and Alaska Airlines flights
operated by Horizon Air or SkyWest.
To use an electronic bag tag on Alaska Airlines you must
check in for your flight using the Alaska Airlines app. As part of
the check-in process, you'll be offered the option to activate
your tag after selecting the number of bags you will check.
If you don't have your electronic bag tag handy, don't worry,
you can come back to activate the electronic bag tag anytime
after check in.
If you are checking additional bags that do not have an
electronic bag tag, you can retrieve a paper tag at an airport
bag tag station or with an Alaska Airlines representative.
