    2 Introduction This manual will give you instructions on how to mount the AMX 4 unit correctly and safely. Mounting and installing an AMX 4 is divided into two parts: Mounting the unit on the wall/ceiling (this manual). Electrical installation. Please refer to the Installation manual.

    5 Transportation and storage The AMX 4 is packed on a pallet, each pallet can hold up to two units. During transport, the pallet must be tied up so it will not move or shift. Make sure that it is not dropped or otherwise damaged during handling.

    13. Mount steel plates 14. Mount service covers When the AMX 4 unit is shipped from the factory the rear bracket is mounted on the unit, this needs to be disassembled. To do so, you must first disassemble the side covers.

    7.6 Mount the unit Use appropriate lifting equipment to lift the AMX 4 unit, refer to section 6.2, Tools and accessories, on page 15. Place a protective underlay between the lift and the unit to prevent scratches, see Figure 13 below.

    7.7 Mount duct pipes and grilles Please note that this section and the following subsection provide a general description of fitting the ducting and subsequent sealing. Materials and methods for fitting the ducting depend on the customer’s order, the options chosen, and the actual site, hence we can only provide general guidance on this matter.

    The AMX 4 unit is supplied with a drain hose, the length of the hose varies depending on the customer's order. Drainage can be done in various ways; one is to connect the drain hose to a waste-water pipe, and another is to lead the hose through the outer wall.

    7.9 Remove the transportation safeguard The compressor is secured with a transportation lock, this needs to be loosened before the unit is closed up. Locate the compressor, see Figure 21 below. Locate the transportation lock, see Figure 22. Loosen the bolt and pull it downward. It cannot be disassembled, but it must be loosened completely. The compressor will now be supported/hanging by the springs.

    7.13 Mount the steel plates The next step is to mount the steel plates on the bottom of the unit. Three plates need to be mounted. You start with the middle one and then proceed to mount the plates on each side. Please note that the steel plate in the middle may be premounted.

    Lift the middle steel plate up and onto the bolts. The bolt heads must go into the round part of the keyhole, then push the plate right-wise to lock the plate into the narrow part of the keyhole, see Figure 31, Figure 32, Figure 33, and Figure 34.

    Screw two of the long bolts into the frame on the left-hand side, see Figure 37. Remember to leave at least 10 mm. between the frame and the bolt head for the keyhole. Just as before, the bolt heads must go into the round part of the keyhole, then push the plate toward the wall, locking the plate into the narrow part of the keyhole, see Figure 40, Figure 41, and Figure 42.
