    The SIGMA SA-300 door operator is installed onsite by qualified or trained installers. Header unit (or main unit) must be installed on the interior of a building. For double swing doors (IE: SA-320, SA-350), both operators are installed in one single header.

    SA-300 Installation Instructions 4.2. Mount Header Back Plate NOTE: Installers should use their discretion when mounting the header back plate. They should ensure that the door operator is properly and securely mounted using appropriate fasteners and mounting methods. • Mark the positions of the gearbox and controller mounting plates edges on the rear plate channel of the header.

Change Operator/Motor Handing Follow the following steps to change default right hand handing to left hand: STEP 1: Remove the motor from the operator frame by removing its three (3) mounting screws. STEP 2: With the motor removed, place the motor on its side with the gearbox facing away from you. Then use a 5/16in hex key to remove the shaft mounting screw.

    SA-300 Installation Instructions 4.4. Installation Examples • Ensure there is solid structural support in the mounting surface (wall) behind the header unit. • Use the appropriate mounting hardware to secure the header and arms to the support structure. No mounting hardware is included.

    SA-300 Installation Instructions 4.5. Motor and Control Board Wiring Licensed electrician must handle power distribution and AC connections. Unit must be grounded. Connect 120VAC wire to transformer via L16 connector and distribution block. (By licensed electrician) Use Minimum of No. 14 AWG with copper connectors.

    SA-300 Installation Instructions 4.6. Arm Installation SA-300 arms can be installed in either a PUSH or PULL configuration. Regardless of configuration, the gearbox must be pre-loaded. 4.6.1. Gearbox Pre-loading Ensure unit is connected to power (but power switch remains OFF).
