through a transformer

416A.
Transformer assembly Type AC-60K was specially designed for
this
application, and may be o

the Hewlett-Packard
Company.
The assembly
consists
of two irt1pedance
-matching
trans£orrners
housed in a single container, the input and output terminals for
each,
and a bias current input common to both transformers
.
Cables are
supplied for completing all connections.
The Model 416A includes a supply of bias current for the barretters
.
CAUTION:
While the Mo
d
el 416A
is supplying bias cur
:rcmt to
the
barretters, input line voltage at the
Mode
l 416A
must be at approximately 115 volts (within 110-120
volts)
(or,
if the Model 416A input is wired for
a
230
-
volt
input,
within 220-240
volts).
If oper
a
tion
from a source that deviates from 115 volts is neces -
sary, the bias supply (output terminal J4-BIAS on the
rear
of the Model
416A}
should be checked
to m
a
k
e
sure that bias

urrent
is
within ±10%
of 8.
