There are multiple ways to accommodate for thermal expansion and contraction in a bank. The recommended way to mount a bank of panels is to fix-
mount the top header of the centermost panel in a bank, though alternate locations are permissible. When mounting a bank, prime consideration must
be given to allow for movement in the plumbing as well, especially if the fix-mounted panel is away from the plumbing side of the bank as depicted in
images A, B and C. Notice the use of a plumbing expansion hose in these figures, the Offset Method, and the difference between Fixed Supports and Guide
Supports. Bank expansion can be calculated and used to determine the total plumbing movement needed. See Table 6 in Appendix C for details.
*It is recommended for the Fix-Mounted Panel to be at a the centermost point in a bank as seen in image C of Figure 22 when possible.
