Recording from the External Sound Source
1. Set the FUNCTION switch to the "TAPE" position.
2. Press the STOP/EJECT button and insert the cassette into
the cassette compartment, then close the lid.
3. Set the TAPE switch for the type of the tape being used.
4. Set the MODE switch for the mode of source recording.
5. Connect patch cord (optional) from the output of your
amplifier, receiver or other signal Sound source to the LINE
IN jack @ of the set.
6. Press the RECORD button.
7. Operate your audio equipment as ÿou would normally.
8. Since you can monitor through the speaker regardless of
recording level, adjust the VOLUME, BASS, TREBLE and
BALANCE Controls to your desired Sound and tone quality.
9. Press the STOP/EJECT button to stop recording at your
desired position. At the end of the tape, the RECORD and
PLAY buttons will be released automatically.
LEFTSIDE
Recording from the Built-in TV Sound or Radio
1. Set the FUNCTION switch to the "TV" or "RADIO" position
and tune in a desired station as described in TELEVISION &
RADIO OPERATION section.
2. Press the STOP/EJECT button and insert the cassette into
the cassette compartment, then close the lid.
3. Set the TAPE switch for the type of the tape being used.
4. Set the MODE switch for the mode of Sound being received.
5. Press the RECORD button.
6. Since you can monitor the Sound through the speakers
regardless of recording level, adjust the VOLUME, BASS,
TREBLE and BALANCE Controls to your desired Sound and
tone quality.
7. Press the STOP/EJECT button to stop recording at your
desired position. At the end of the tape, the RECORD and
PLAY buttons will be released automatically.
NOTE: When recording an AM radio program on tape, an
irritating beat Sound may sometimes appear, caused
by interaction between the radio frequency and bias
frequency.
If this occurs, set the BEAT CANC EL
switch to the other position.
Recording from the Téléphoné
1. Set the FUNCTION switch to the "TAPE" position.
2. Press the STOP/EJECT button and insert the cassette into
the cassette compartment, then close the lid.
3. Attach the suction cap of the téléphoné pick-up (optional),
which is available through your dealer, to the téléphoné case
and connect the pick-up jack into the "MIC-L" (left MICRO¬
PHONE) jack of the set.
4. Press the RECORD button.
5. Press the STOP/EJECT button to stop recording at your
desired position. At the end of the tape, the RECORD and
PLAY buttons will be released automatically.

ALC (Automatic Level Control) Recording
This set has an automatic level control (ALC) circuit, which
automatically keeps the optimum recording level regardless of
the input signal condition. So there is no needed for adjustment
of the VOLUME, BASS, TREBLE and BALANCE Controls on
ail kinds of recording.
Quick One Touch Record Operation
Press the RECORD button in during the playback, the set will
change instantly to record mode from playback.
Erase Recording
To erase the pre-recorded tape without recording, follow the
steps bellow.
1. Set the FUNCTION switch to the "TAPE" position.
2. Press the STOP/EJECT button and insert the cassette into
the cassette compartment, then close the lid.
3. Insert the ERASE PLUG
(optional) into the "MIC-L"
(left MICROPHONE) Jack.
4. Press the RECORD button.
5. Press the STOP/EJECT button to stop erasing at your desired
position. At the end of the tape, RECORD and PLAY
buttons will be released automatically.
