the red
power
button.
The
unit
will
run
a
self-test, Fig.
1.
Note:
The
display
will
appear
until
the button
is
released.

Upon
release,
beeps
will
sound and
the display
will
briefly
change
to
a
flashing
symbol,
Fig. 2.

A
long
beep
will
sound,
and
the
unit
is
ready
for
manual
cuff
inflation, Fig. 3.
4.
Using your
right
hand,
squeeze and
release the
inflation
bulb
at
a
steady
pace.
The
inflating
pressure
must be
at least
140
mmHG
to
ensure
proper
measurement.
5.
Upon
achieving the proper
inflation
level,
release
any
pressure
on
the
bulb.
6.
The
pressure
in
the
cuff
will
auto-
matically
begin
to
decrease.
The
display
will
show
deflation rate
and
cuff
pressure,

7.
When
a pulse
is
detected, the
unit
will
sound and
indicate that
measurement
is
in
progress,
