    Over-the-air, cable, and digital cable signals CAUTION : If you are not sure of the type of signal(s) you are receiving, let EZ Scan complete all the channel signal-type searches. The TV will let you know when the analog, cable, and digital channel scans are complete.

    This can be combined with any other equipment you may want to hook up. If you’re using a cable box, leave the TV on channel 3 or 4 and use your cable box to change channels.

    TV or monitor. Just connect the second TV or monitor to the Monitor output Audio/Video jacks located on the back of your TV. See the Operating Manual of the second TV or monitor for further details regarding that device’s input settings.

    Hook up Variable Audio Output, L-Audio-R to Amplifier system for Left/Right front speaker sound. Locate the Variable Audio Out jacks on the back of your TV and the Input jacks on the back of your stereo's amplifier. Connect the two jacks, making sure that the right and left channels are connected correctly.

    Digital Audio Output Send the TV’s audio out to external audio equipment (stereo system) via the Digital Audio Output Optical port. Connect one end of an optical cable to the TV Digital Audio Optical Output port. Connect the other end of the optical cable to the digital audio optical input on the audio equipment.

    Select the viewing source by using TV/VIDEO, COMP/DVI or FRONT button on the remote control. This TV is programmed to remember which mode it was last set to, even if you turn the TV off. Note: See page 20 if you have not auto programmed the TV to receive channels in your local broadcast area.

    Remote Control Functions in TV Mode MODE Selects the remote operating mode: TV, VCR, Cable, DVD or Satellite. Select other operating modes, for the remote to operate external devices. TV/VIDEO Selects: DTV, Analog, Video1, Video2, Video3, Front video, Component 1-2, and DVI input sources.

    Remote Control Functions in TV Mode RATIO Changes the aspect ratio. SIGNAL Displays the digital signal strength. NUMBER KEYPAD For direct channel selection and programming functions. DASH Is used to enter a program num- ber for multiple program channels such as 2—1,2—2,etc.

    Use pages 9-13 to connect external equipment to your TV. If you have not done so, plug in your TV to a standard 120V, 60Hz power outlet. If you have not done so, remove the back of the remote and put in two AA batter- ies.

    Twin Picture Twin Picture splits the screen into 2, allowing 2 picture sources to be shown on the TV screen at the same time. Each source is given half the screen. Watching Twin Picture Press the PIP button on the remote control in POP mode to activate twin picture mode.

    Each video menu adjustment doesn’t effect other input sources. Readjust Video menu for each input source. EZ Picture This function adjusts the TV to the best picture appear- ance. Select the preset value in the EZ Picture menu based on the program category.

    AUDIO Menu Stereo/SAP Broadcasts Setup This TV can receive MTS stereo programs and any SAP (Secondary Audio Program) that accompanies the stereo program; if the station transmits an additional sound signal as well as the original one. Use the AUDIO button to select your desired MTS mode. Each time you press the AUDIO button, MONO, STEREO, or SAP appear in turn.

    • Select the time zone for your viewing area. Your options are: Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific, Alaska, Hawaii.     TV Turn Off Time Setup Lets you set an automatic daily turn off time for your TV. Off Timer function overrides On Timer function if they are both set to the same time. You must set the current time on the clock before using on/off timers.

    TV Turn On Time Setup Lets you set an automatic daily turn on time for your TV. Off timer function overrides on timer function if they are both set to the same time. Unless a button is pressed within two hours after the TV is turned on by the On Timer function, the TV will auto- matically turn off.

    Sleep Timer Setup Lets you select the amount of time before your TV automatically turns itself off. Using the TIMER button Press the TIMER button on the remote control repeatedly to select the number of minutes. First the Off option will appear on the screen, followed in sequence 10, 20, 30, 60, 90, 120, 180, and 240.

    Auto Off If there is no input signal, the TV can be set up to switch to standby mode automatically after 10 minutes. Press the MENU button on the remote control, then use the UP/DOWN arrow button to select the Time menu.
