Using the HP 16500B X Window Interface

This chapter shows you how to:
Start the interface.
Close the interface.
Load the custom fonts.
Supported HP 16500B Modules
The more recent HP 16500 modules are supported with the X Window
interface. They include the following:
HP 16517A and HP 16518A Ultra High Speed Timing modules.
HP 16520A and HP 16521A Pattern Generator modules.
HP 16532A Oscilloscope module.
HP 16542A State Analyzer module.
HP 16550A State/Timing Analyzer module.
HP 16554A State/Timing Analyzer module.
HP 16555A State/Timing Analyzer module.
HP 16556A State/Timing Analyzer module.
Unsupported modules are listed on page 2-14.
Using the Mouse and Keyboard
Once you have started the X Window interface and are displaying it on
your computer running the X server, you can use your computer's
keyboard and mouse to control the logic analyzer interface in the
same way you use the keyboard and mouse that can be connected to
the HP 16500B. Refer to the HP 16500B Logic Analysis System
User's Reference for a complete description of keyboard and mouse
operation.
Selecting Fields and Menus
Move the mouse pointer over the field and click the left mouse button.
