12. Remove the batteries if the appli-
ance is not used during an exten-
ded period.
13. This appliance is intended for
domestic and similar use such as:
ƒ staff kitchen areas in shops,
offices
and
environments;
ƒ farm houses;
ƒ by clients in hotels, motels and
other accommodation facilities;
ƒ bed and breakfast accommoda-
tions and holiday homes.
14. For safety reasons, never place
the appliance on hot surfaces, a
metal tray or a wet surface.
15. Do not operate the appliance near
open flames.
16. Always use the appliance on a
level, uncluttered and heat-resis-
tant surface.

START-UP AND USE

1.
Remove all packaging materials
and any transport safety devices.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

1.
Open the battery compartment on
the bottom side of the appliance.
2.
Insert two batteries, type AAA,
according to the pole marks +/-.
3.
Close the lid of the battery com-
partment.
4.
If the batteries are too weak for
a proper weighing result, the dis-
play shows the message „LO".
5.
Remove the worn out batteries, if
applicable.
6.
Batteries may contain the fol-

amounts of up to 5 kg, including
