4. Start playing.
Recording will be started by pressing
any
key,
the
Rhythm
START
button,
or the INTRO/ENDING
button.
The sounds
are recorded
just as you play them. You can play
with your left hand, right hand, or
even with both hands if you wish.

The Initial Touch Control data, the
setting of TEMPO, the FILL IN and
INTRO/ENDING
data, STEREO
SYMPHONIC
data, and any use
of the Pedals will also be recorded.
5. When you finish playing, press the Auto Rhythm STOP button.
The rhythm and recording will both
stop. Recording can also be stopped
by setting
the POLY
RECORD
button to OFF.

[16-NOTE Model
(12-NOTE Mode for CVP-8)
By pressing the POLY
RECORD
while depressing the
PAUSE button, a maximum of 16 notes (12 notes) can be
simultaneously played.
At this time, however,
neither BASS
RECORD
nor
[Voices and Rhythms]
Voices and Rhythm patterns are recorded together with
the accompaniment into PERFORMANCE
MEMORY.
Those set during recording will be played back.
[PAUSE]

PAUSE
This feature, when used during either recording or play-
back, will temporarily stop that operation. The PAUSE
button, when pressed anytime during playback, will allow
you to re-record the portion starting from that point, by
merely pressing the appropriate RECORD
button.
To cancel the Pause status, either set the PAUSE button
to ON once more or perform a procedure identical to
that for starting recording.

When you will record a song that starts on an upbeat,
be
sure
to start
the
recording
by pressing
the
INTRO/ENDING.
If you later start the playback
using INTRO/ENDING,
the song will be played
back just as it was recorded. If you start the playback
by pressing Rhythm START
or a key in the lower
keyboard,
however,
the first two measures
will be
played back without the rhythm.
