Safety instructions
• Please read the instructions completely and carefully.
• Make sure that the control unit is de-energized before connecting the photocell.
• The photocell is not approved for use on life-threatening machines or devices. The photocell only serves as an additional safety device.
• Please only use the photocell within the specified range.
Installation:
• The photocell should be installed more than 20 cm above the ground and the distance between the trans-
mitter and reflector must be more than 0.5 meters.
• Avoid direct sunlight on the transmitter and other direct light.
• Avoid other photocells in the immediate vicinity.
• Ensure that the transmitter and receiver are mounted firmly and stably. Please use the bracket supplied.
• The supplied stapler can also be used to secure the wiring around the frame of your garage.
Connection to Schartec Prime:
•
CAUTION: Remove the power supply from your operator.
• Simply connect one wire of the transmitter photocell to PH and the other wire to GND. Proceed in exactly
the same way with the receiver photocell.
• The configuration is then 2 wires in PH and 2 in GND.
• You can now switch the motor back on.
• Ensure that the photocells are correctly aligned: both photocells will be illuminated (1 red and 1 green) if the photo-
cell is correctly connected and correctly aligned. If not, please check the connection and/or alignment.
Activation of the photocell function on Schartec Prime:
• Press and hold the SET button until the number 5 appears on the display. To activate the photocell function, press
the UP button again, the display shows 1 (activated) or press DOWN to deactivate the photocell function (display
shows 0).
• Press SET to confirm the setting.
