System Status Indicators
The computer tells you its current status through
the following indicators.

Meaning
Blinks when the speaker is sounded.
This indicator is turned off when any
key is pressed.
When the speaker volume control is in
the left position (off), this indicator is
turned off and no audio-output can be
heard.
Shows the current status of the
battery pack. See "Monitoring the
Battery Condition" on page 6 for
further information.
Turns on when the battery pack is
charging. Let it charge until this
indicator turns off. This shows that
the battery is fully charged.
Turns on when data is read from or
written to a diskette.
Neither entering suspend mode nor
ejecting a diskette is allowed when
this indicator is turned on.
Turns on when data is read from or
written to the hard disk.
Neither entering suspend mode nor
turning off the computer is allowed
when this indicator is turned on.
