Installing and Removing Preparing for Installation 1. Check the loader and attachment hydraulic couplers to be sure the surfaces are clean before connecting. 2. Inspect the couplers for damage or wear and replace if needed for proper connection. Installing the Attachment 1.
Installing and Removing IMPORTANT AVOID DAMAGE! Attaching plate levers may be damaged if they strike the attachment. Be sure the attaching plate levers do not hit the attachment during installation. 4. Tilt the loader attaching plate forward, and drive the loader forward until the top edge of the loader attaching plate is under the top flange (B) of the attachment mounting frame.

Installing and Removing Attaching the Stop Lift Chains to the Loader Note: It may be easier to position some loader models close to the attachment and route the chains before fully installing the attach- ment on the loader. WARNING AVOID INJURY! Do not operate the attachment unless the stop lift chains are installed to prevent lifting the attachment more than 12 inches above level ground.

Installing and Removing 3. Wrap the stop lift chains around the front of the loader and install the chains in the mounting holes (A) in the same positions (Install the seventh link from the end of each chain, for example, in the mount- ing holes.) 4.

Installing and Removing 5. Disconnect the attachment hydraulic hoses from the loader’s front auxiliary couplers (A). a. Rotate the coupler sleeves (B) so the ball (C) is aligned with the groove (D) to allow the coupler to disconnect (Some sleeves may not have this locking mechanism).
Operating Pre-Operation Inspection Before starting operation, inspect the area you will be operating in and inspect the attachment. Inspect the Work Area 1. Confirm the area is clear of bystanders including animals. Establish a safety zone by keeping bystanders and animals beyond a 200 foot radius around the attachment when operating.
Operating Theory of Operation The Brush Mower hydraulic hoses are connected to the loader front aux- iliary hydraulic couplers. The loader’s hydraulic controls are used to tilt the Brush Mower and to engage and disengage the hydraulic motor which drives the flywheel with three cutting blades. Operation WARNING AVOID INJURY!

Operating Transporting the Attachment On the Loader Check to be sure the attachment is correctly installed on the loader before hauling the loader on a trailor or truck. Follow all loader, truck or trailer operator’s manual instructions to safely haul the loader. Servicing Service Intervals Every 8 hours or daily: • Grease the optional roller, if installed. • Inspect the attachment and hoses for damage and wear. Replace parts as needed. • Check and tighten all hardware. Lubrication Recommended Grease Standard Lithium Lubricating the Optional Roller 1.

Servicing 2. Park the loader. (See Parking Safely in this manual.) 3. Remove the four cap screws (A), lock washers and washers from the motor guard. 4. Remove the motor guard and position out of the way on the frame, taking care to avoid damaging the pressure gauge connected to the hydraulic hose.
Servicing Sharpening the Blades WARNING AVOID INJURY! Remove the attachment from the loader before servicing. 1. Remove the attachment from the loader. 2. Park the loader. (See Parking Safely in this manual.) 3. Using a safe lifting device, raise and block the front of the attach- ment to access the blades and flywheel underneath.
Servicing 6. Remove the nut, lock washer, bolt and blade. 7. Sharpen or replace the blade. 8. Install the blade with the bolt, lock washer and nut. Tighten nut to 1444 ft-lb (1958 N•m). Troubleshooting Problem Action 1. Check to be sure the attachment hy- Flywheel won't rotate.
