In the event of your machine developing a fault, you should quickly run
through this check list before calling your local Electrolux Service Centre.
If your wash is not satisfactory.
1. Check that the crockery or cutlery has been properly loaded.
2. Check that the spray arms, or holes in the arms, have not become
obstructed or blocked.
3. Check that the filter is clean.
4. Check that the programme selected was the correct one.
5. Check that the correct amount of detergent was used.
6. If white spots are evident on articles after washing, check that the rinse-aid
container is not empty;if it still contains rinse-aid, move the adjuster to a
higher setting. (Note: Spots may appear on glass where it has dried in contact
with the basket.)
7. If a white film develops on plates, etc. and on the dishwasher interior check
whether the water softener requires additional salt. If the salt container is full
increase the setting of the softener adjuster.
8. Check that the programme has been completed.
9. Check that the drain hose is not blocked.
What to do when a fault occurs : Machine does not start
(Notedhe machine does not start immediately therefore wait 1 -2 minutes
before going through the following procedure). Check that:
1. The mains switch is on. If the indicator light does not illuminate check
your plug and fuse.
2. Electricity is reaching your wall socket by plugging in another appliance.
3. The water supply is turned on.
4. The door is properly closed.
If all the above points are in order there is a fault in the machine and you
should switch off both the wall socket and the machine. The door may be
opened and the dishes removed.
Noise
This dishwasher is one of the quietest on the market. If excessive noise
occurs check that the dishes inside are not knocking against each other or that
the top spray arm is not knocking against large plates in the lower dish rack.
Water does not enter the machine although water and electricity are
turned on
Check that the inlet hose is properly located in the recess at the bottom rear of
the machine, and that it is not kinked.
Water enters the machine and continues to flow out resulting in the
machine failing to start.
Check that your drainage hose is raised to the correct height - no less than
500mm (20in.) above the floor.
The machine will not drain
Check that the drainage hose is not kinked.
Check that the filter is not clogged.
