You can score your performances when singing duets.
1 Setthe NORMAL/KARAOKE/AUX INPUT selector
to the KARAOKE position.
Plug microphones into MIC 1 and 2 jacks and
switch the microphones on.
2 Press the SCORING COMPETITION button.

3 Select the karaoke song with the Direct music
search buttons.

@ Whenselecting songs, use the Direct music search buttons
on the front panel or the Digit buttons on the remote control
unit.
4 Start singing the duet.

Scoring starts at 5000 points and increases or decreases in
100 point intervals.
5 When the song is over, the player enters pause
mode and displays the scores for mics 1 and 2.

After a few seconds, the display returns to step 2 and you can
tepeat steps 3 through 5
To return to normal karaoke mode:
@ Press the SCORING COMPETITION button again.
@ Press CLEAR on the remote control unit.
During scoring ...
@ The fast-forward, fast-reverse, once more or key control
function can be carried out.
@ When the another karaoke song is selected, the previous
score displayed on the screen is reset.
e The single play mode is activated automatically and cannot
be switched off.
NOTES:
@ The SCORING COMPETITION function can be used only
when the NORMAL/KARAOKE/AUX INPUT selector is
set to KARAOKE.
e During selecting the chapter
or displaying the score, PAUSE
(th), PLAY @), SKIP (<td, m1) and SCAN (4-4, >>) do not
function.
@ The following functions are not performed in competition
mode.
Repeat, Surround, Programming, Clear Scan, Time display
onthe screen, VOCAL PARTNER, ONE-TOUCH KARAOKE
@ Depending on the type of disc or song, it may not possible
to correctly determine the musical interval (the difference
in pitch between tones) of the vocals, even with karaoke
discs, and it becomes difficult to obtain a high scare. This
is not a maffunction.
@ /f you sing during parts with no vocals, it is counted in
Scoring and you won't be able to see your actual score.
On the other hand, the score will not be affected even if you
do not sing along in sections containing vocals.
