Cobalt Digital Inc WAVE Control Series Quick Start Manual

The WAVE Control Series - Control Panel has an easy-to-use front panel which enables intuitive operations of
router access with minimal keystrokes when using the Destination Oriented firmware which is supplied as
delivered from the factory. Consult the Factory and Owners Manual if you wish to switch the control panel
firmware to Select and TAKE operation.
Note: The Control Panel does not require any special ventilation clearance with its passive cooling design,
however it is always advisable to leave as much clearance between adjacent equipment as possible.
For first time set-up, perform control panel connections as described below:
1. Set the dip switches to one of the factories forced IP addresses as shown in Figure 1 on the next page.
2. Connect an RJ-45 Ethernet cable from the control panel to your LAN which also has a WAVE router
frame connected and an administration computer for communications with the different pieces of
hardware.
3. Connect the 12vdc power brick connector to the control panel.
4. Connect the mains AC to the power brick mains AC connector. The panel does not have a power
switch, it should boot up in less than 30 seconds.
5. Open a browser on your admin computer and type in the factory IP address you chose with the dip
switches. Press ENTER. The WAVE control panel GUI should load.
6. Go to the SETTINGS TAB
chose with the dip switch setting.
7. Using the web browser UI Settings tab
the ROUTER / LEVEL button number on the control panel.
When you are ready, you can change to DHCP by changing the dip switches to FORCED DHCP and
pressing the RESET button found under the plastic cover next to the dip switches or unplug the external
power, wait 10 seconds and re-power the unit.
