    8999173EN: v1.0 28/10/2022 Description and Main Characteristics Mower Description With reference to Figure 1, the Mower is a machine designed and built exclusively for maintenance of green areas or mulching of non-woody stalk vegetation; it mulches backwards stalks of corn, straw, beet and soyabean leaves, brushwood and grass.

    8999173EN: v1.0 28/10/2022 2.5.1 Disposal If the Mower is required to be disposed of, precautions are required in order to avoid the risk of environmental pollution. The various parts of the machine must be treated as if they were special waste. One must proceed by taking apart the equipment, grouping the various parts and components in similar parts (rubber, metal, plastic, etc.), providing for disposal of these parts separately, according to existing anti-pollution laws of the Country where the machine was used.

    8999173EN: v1.0 28/10/2022 • It is mandatory to use the type of input PTO shaft indicated by the manufacturer of the Mower. • It is mandatory to set the control lever of the linkage in the blocked position before connecting or disconnecting the Mower from the three-point hitch of the tractor.

    After transportation, remove the protection film and check that the machine was not damaged in any way. Spearhead cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by handling carried out any differently from that described in the manual.

    The Mower can be installed and subsequently removed from the agricultural tractor according to the requirements of the user. DANGER!     3.2.3 Input PTO Shaft It is mandatory to only use the input PTO shaft supplied as standard by Spearhead. The Company assumes no liability if an input PTO other than the one supplied is used. Working angle of the input PTO shaft must be as small as possible (max 10° from the horizontal line): this increases the life cycle and that of the Mower.

When the input PTO shaft is at its maximum length in any work conditions, the telescopic tube should overlap by at least 1/3 of their length, as illustrated in (Figure 8). Proceed at a moderate speed, as the mass of the tractor with flail mower lifted changes the stability of the tractor-machine unit, influencing the steering and braking capacity. It is important to remember that the front axle should have sufficient weight with a load equal to at least 20% of the weight of the agricultural tractor.
