Preparation

Inserting/Replacing the Battery

Alkali-manganese batteries are recommended for the measuring tool.
– Fold open the battery lid 6 and insert the batteries. When inserting,
pay attention to the correct polarity according to the representation on
the inside of the battery compartment.
If the batteries become weak, the battery capacity indicator 4 will flash
green. The laser lines will also flash every 10 mins for approx. 5 s.
The measuring tool can be operated for approx. 1 hour after the first
flashing. If the batteries become empty, the laser lines will flash again
directly before automatic shutoff.
Always replace all batteries at the same time. Only use batteries from
one brand and with the identical capacity.
Remove the batteries from the measuring tool when not using it for
extended periods. When storing for extended periods, the batteries
can corrode and self-discharge.
Working with the Magnetic Rotating Mount RM1
(see figures A1 – A2)
You can use the magnetic rotating mount 15 to rotate the measuring
tool 360° around a central, always visible plumb point. This enables
you to set up the laser lines precisely without having to change the
position of the measuring tool.
