Operating Procedures
BEFORE TURNING THE RECEIVER ON
Before turning the receiver on, confirm that all controls and switches are properly set.
1. Be sure to turn the VOLUME control fully counterclockwise (down).
2. Confirm that the TAPE MONITOR switch is set to the desired position.
LISTENING TO RECORDS (TURNTABLE)
1. Push the FUNCTION SELECTOR switch PHONO.
2. Operate the turntable connected to the PHONO inputs of the receiver.
3. Adjust VOLUME, BALANCE, TONE CONTROLS and FILTERS.
LISTENING TO AM BROADCAST
1. Push the FUNCTION SELECTOR switch AM.
2. Adjust the TUNING control and tune in the desired station. Optimum tuning is achieved when the SIGNAL
strengthTindicator light farthest to the right comes on.
LISTENING TO FM BROADCAST
1. Push the FUNCTION SELECTOR switch FM.
2. Adjust the TUNING control and tune in the desired station. Optimum tuning is achieved when the SIGNAL
strength indicator farthest to the right and the round indicator in the center of the TUNE indicator come on.

PLAYBACK OF TAPES
1. Depress the TAPE MONITOR switch to pushed position.
2. Operate the tape deck or recorder connected to the TAPE IN jacks of the receiver.
RECORDING DISC RECORDS AND BROADCASTS
1. Select the source to be recorded with the FUNCTION SELECTOR switches.
2. To monitor this source while recording, simply select the desired speakers and adjust the VOLUME, etc., to
the desired listening levels.
NOTE: If your tape recorder is equipped with separate recording and playback heads, you may monitor directly
from the tape being recorded by depressing the TAPE MONITOR switch to pushed position.
