  • Page 3 User Instructions This oil stove is designed to burn 28 sec. Kerosene to BS 2869 Part 2 Class C2. It must be installed by a competent person (e.g. Oftec registered installer) and operated in accordance with these Users Instructions. In which case it should provide many years of safe and efficient operation.
  • Page 4 Safety All parts of this stove, other than the controls, will become very hot during use. It is recommended that a fireguard be used in the presence of children, the elderly or infirm. Combustible furniture or materials MUST NOT be placed any closer than 1 metre in front, above or the sides of the stove.
  • Page 5 Cleaning Casing: If cleaning of the stove casing is required, it is recommended that this be done when the stove is cold. However, if it is to be cleaned while the stove is lit, turn the control knob to low fire (position 1) and allow the stove to cool for one hour.

    Coals It should not be necessary, nor is it recommended, that the coals be rearranged. Your installer will have positioned them to give the best flame effect for your site conditions. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES TRY TO RE-COLOUR THE COALS WITH PAINT. WARNING: COALS SUPPLIED WITH THE STOVE ARE A SPECIAL MATERIAL AND THEY ARE THE ONLY TYPE THAT CAN BE USED.

    3) After approximately 30 minutes the burner will have cross lit and reached operating temperature. The control can now be set to the desired position. Manual Ignition 1) Turn the oil control to maximum a shown in diagram 1. 2) Allow ten minutes for oil to enter the burner. 3) Open the stove doors and unscrew the plug from the lighting port indicated in diagram 2 (Burner removed from stove for clarity).
  • Page 8 Oil leak or fault If an oil leak or fault exists, or is suspected, the stove must be turned off. The appliance must not be used until the fault has been rectified. Advice/help should be obtained from your qualified commissioning engineer.
