Alarm
Your O3 Pure LS unit is equipped with an internal leak detector. If a leak happens to develop
inside of the unit the sensor will set off an audible alarm. This alarm will continue to buzz until
the leak is stopped and/or the unit is unplugged. If this alarm should occur, you should unplug
the unit, turn off the cold water valve and call us for assistance.
Ozone Selection Level Button
By pressing the Ozone Level Button, you are able to select the ozone output of the unit and
choose between 3 settings. You can select the output while the unit is running or while the
unit is off. The unit will remember your selection unless there is a power outage in which case
the unit will default to the Green ozone setting. The setting descriptions below are meant as a
starter guide. Feel free to experiment and see what settings work best in your home.
No Light: Allows the unit to run without engaging the ozone generator. The Photo Catalytic
Oxidizer (Fig. h - 7) will still operate and provide a very mild cleaning action.
Green Light: This setting is usually recommended for general washing and everyday use.
Blue Light: The unit will run at full ozone output. (g.1) For whites and deep cleaning colors.
Note: The unit may briefly flash red at beginning of some fill/rinse cycles. This is usually
normal as the unit rebuilds pressure. In some instances it may also indicate a partially
clogged filter located just inside the water intake in some washing machines.
Using Your O3 Pure LS
The use of your O3 Pure LS unit is very easy and convenient. As long as you install your O3
Pure LS properly, you simply operate your washer according to the instructions provided by
the manufacturer. O3 Pure LS is designed to automatically turn on as soon as the washer
demands water for the wash cycle and again for any rinse cycles. The only differences are
that you ONLY USE THE COLD WATER setting for both the wash and rinse cycles on your
washer.
Keep in mind that the fibers in your clothes are most likely saturated with residual detergent.
It may take up to 5 washes to remove this residue. During this initial phase your laundry
water may sud and clothes especially heavier items like bath towels may come out stiff and
crusty. This is normal as the Ozone breaks down that embedded detergent. After this initial
process, your laundry will begin to be odor free and soften up. Also it can take up to 15
washes to remove old detergent residue from your washer itself. If you have water with very
heavy mineralization and/or iron content, we recommend installing a prefilter directly before
the O3 Pure LS. This will extend the operation life of your new O3 Pure LS unit and enhance
it's cleaning power.
Note: Do not run hot water through your O3 Pure LS.
Stains
We suggest that you pretreat stains, just as you would without an O3 Pure LS unit. For
normal soiled laundry, you should only need a small amount of detergent or none at all.
