Automatic belt tensioner (on cars
for certain markets only)
Check the condition and operation of the belt ten-
sioner by pressing and pulling the belt. The belt
should return smoothly to the tensioned position.
Check the condition of the belt tensioner.
Automatic belt tensioner 8234
Check the condition and operation of the belt ten-
sioner by pressing and pulling the belt. The belt
should return smoothly to the tensioned position. .
Test value for the drive belt: at least 170 N (40 lbf).
Check the condition of the belt.
8202 without AC
8234 with AC. The broken line shows the run of the belt
without AC.
