4. System operation
The Classic Line interconnected system operation
The Classic Line has been designed to operate as a
system with the amplifier as the master unit.
Connecting the amplifier to the other Classic Line com-
ponents (sockets [25], [29], [85]) greatly simplifies the
operation. The amplifier and the desired music source
are activated by pressing a single button. At the same
time any source that is no longer needed is automatically
switched off. The corresponding link is established via
the control keys.
Manual operation
Each Classic Line component can be operated manually
as a Stand-alone unit.
Operation with remote control
The Classic Line can be remote controlled with the
RC 28 remote infrared control only via the IR reception
window [5] of the amplifier display. The IR commands
are transmitted via the system interconnection cable [b]
to the Classic Line components. The LED [6] in the
amplifier display is ON while an IR signal is being
received.
Standby mode
After correct installation and connection of the compo-
nents to the AC power outlet, the system operates in
standby mode. The LED [6] inthe amplifier display panel
is ON. It turns offas soon as
acomponentis switched on.
The system is now ready and can be turned on and
operated with the built-in control keys or the infrared
remote control unit. In standby mode the system con-
sumes very little power.
Power ON/OFF
The components of the Classic Line are turned on or
switched to standby by means of the corresponding
|
POWER
key. To turn off a component completely,
disconnect it from the AC power source by unplugging
the corresponding connector.
Revox multiroom concept

control his hi-fi system from several adjacent rooms so
that he can listen to music there without sign #ficantly
influencing the main room system.
Your dealer will gladly provide you with more information
on the multiroom concept.
