Quad-Field and Tri-Field CINEMA DSP
Tri-Field CINEMA DSP projects three sound
fields into the home theater: a Presence
sound field in the front and two Surround
sound fields in the left rear and right
surround, resulting in a powerfully realistic
three-dimensional soundscape. And now
Yamaha also offers Quad-Field CINEMA
DSP via a Phantom mode. It adds an
additional suround center sound field
to the Tri-Field system, in order to
enjoy the new 6.1-channel formats,
Dolby Digital EX and DTS-ES.
One-Touch CINEMA DSP Selection
With the DVX-S200P, DVX-S120P,
DVR-S200, DVX-S120 and DVR-S120
you can enjoy Yamaha's amazingly
realistic CINEMA DSP surround
sound, in a choice of 19 programs.
Selecting the four most popular
programs — Movie, Music, Sports and
Game — is quick and easy because the
remote control has four buttons clearly
marked with icons.
Night Listening Mode for All
Surround Programs
When you're listening to movies late at
night and turn down the volume
during loud scenes, dynamic range
suffers and you may miss some
dialogue and other sounds. By
engaging the Night Listening mode,
you can reduce the volume and still
enjoy proper tonal balance and
dynamic range.

Progressive Scanning
The DVX-S200P, DVX-S120P, DVR-S200,
DVX-S120 and DVR-S120 have a progressive
scan processor built in and eliminate the jagged
edges that generally appear in moving images
when interlaced video is converted to progressive.
High Performance Speakers and Subwoofer
Speakers are extremely important to the
success of a home theater system, and the
CinemaStation units are up to the task. The
five speakers (two front, two surround and one
for the center to handle mainly dialogue)
deliver exceptionally high quality surround
sound, and have a compact, stylish design. The
subwoofer utilizes Yamaha's Advanced YST
technology to generate deep, powerful bass
from a slim enclosure.
