You Will Be Amazed at How Much This
Economical Model Has to Offer.
The RX-V450 6.1-Channel Receiver delivers 510W (85W x 6) high power discrete amplification. Its
wide range of features will provide all the control and convenience that a sophisticated home theater
system should have. Features include Quad-Field CINEMA DSP with 29 Surround Programs, Direct
Stereo, adjustable subwoofer crossover and much more.
The previous RX-V440 has been honoured with an EISA Award for
Home Theater Receiver 2003-2004. The prestigious EISA Awards are

RX-V450
6.1-Channel Digital Home Theater Receiver
Straight and 2-Channel Stereo Modes
All four 50 series receivers also offer two
other special operation modes for higher
quality. Straight outputs the original analog
or digital signal without any post-
processing. 2-Channel Stereo processes the
multi-channel signal and outputs it via two
channels, for use with a two-speaker
system.
SILENT CINEMA and
Virtual CINEMA DSP
SILENT CINEMA makes it possible to
hear large-scale surround sound through
ordinary headphones! This is a variation of
CINEMA DSP technology that Yamaha
developed to let you listen in private to
movies and other multi-channel sources for
hours without listening fatigue. Virtual
CINEMA DSP lets you enjoy the effects of
CINEMA DSP surround sound without
using surround speakers.
RX-V450 Extensive System Connections
In addition to the input and output terminals shown in the chart, the RX-V450 provides
6-channel external decoder input terminals and a subwoofer output terminal. All speaker
terminals are 2-way binding post type (banana plug compatible).
Subwoofer Crossover Selection
This receiver provides a choice of nine
subwoofer crossover frequencies: 40, 60, 80, 90,
100, 110, 120, 160 and 200 Hz. This lets you
"fine-tune" the audio system by selecting the
optimum frequency to maximize
receiver/speaker efficiency and also ensures best
performance from both large and small speakers.
2 Component Video Input Terminals
Component Video inputs offer higher quality
than normal composite inputs, for use with
units such as DVD players that have
Component Video output. The RX-V450
allows you to connect two different
components for a choice of high quality video
sources. The RX-V450 also offers an HDTV
compatible component video out.
