Make sure that the TV - DVD switch on
the remote control unit is set to "DVD"
when using the A/Vi.,_I/I,_. and numeric
buttons for controlling the unit.
Selecting preferences
This chapter refers to the settings which are already
made when you purchase the unit. Read this section
when you want to connect this machine to a wide-vision
TV set, or when you want to otherwise change the
settings according to your preferences and viewing
environment.
The preference display consists of the LANGUAGE,
PICTURE, AUDIO, and OTHERS setting displays, each
having setting items.

PressCHOICE.
One of the Preference on-screen displays appears
on the TV screen.
You can see four icons at the top right of the on_
screen display for the settings.

_' : Others menu (system setting)
2 Select the appropriate icon using _.
The appropriate display appears on the TV screen.
3 Move I_ to select the item you want to edit
using _/T,
The color of the selected item changes.

Press ENTER.
A pull_down menu appears over the selected item.

5 Press_/T to select from the options and
press ENTER.
The selected option is set.

NOTES
* To dismiss a preference display:
PressCHOICE.
* While an MP3 or JPEG disc is loaded, you cannot bdng
up any preference display.
* When a preference display is shown on a wide TV
screen, the upper and lower parts of the TV picture
sometimes may be cut off. If this happens, adjust the
picture size control of the TV,
