CATHODE-RAY TUBE WARRANTY
The cathoderay tube (CRT) supplied
in your
Hewlett-Packard instrument
and replacement
CRT's
purchased f r o m
hp
are warrented b y the
Hewlett-Packard Company against electrical failure
for
a period
of
one
year
from
the date
of
sale. Broken tubes and tubes w i t h phosphor
or
mesh burns are n o t included under this warranty.
If
the C R T is b r o k e n
when received, a claim should be
made
w i t h the responsible carrier.
Y o u r nearest Hewlett-Packard SaledService Office (listed at rear o f instru-
m e n t manual) maintains a stock o f replacement tubes and w i l l assist
in
processing the warranty claim.
We w o u l d l i k e t o evaluate every defective CRT. This engineering evalu-
ation helps us t o provide a better product f o r you. Please
fill out
the
C R T Failure Report o n the reverse side o f this sheet and return
it
w i t h
the defective C R T t o :

T o avoid damage t o t h e tube while
in
shipment, please f o l l o w the ship-
ping instructions below; warranty credit
is not
allowed on'broken tubes.
SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS
It
is preferable that the defective C R T be returned
in
the replacement
C R T carton.
If
the carton o r packaging material is n o t available, pack
the C R T according t o the instructions below:
1.
Carefully wrap the tube
in
%inch thick c o t t o n batting o r other soft
padding material.
2.
Wrap the above
in
heavy k r a f t paper.
3 .
Pack wrapped tube
in
a rigid container which is at least
4
inches
larger than the tube
in
each dimension.
4.
Surround the tube w i t h at least
4
inches o f packed excelsior or
similar shock absorbing material; be sure the packing is tight all
around the tube.
