Quick manual- EP1400 EC en temperature

Measuring EC or temperature

1. Place the EC /temperature sensor in the to be measured liquid.

2. Press the EC mS or the TEMP °C button to turn on the instrument. Depending on the selection, the LED on the button of the chosen

parameter will start to flash and the actual value appears on the display.
3. Wait until the value is stable and read it.

4. After measuring, rinse the sensor with demineralized water and store it dry.

Calibrating EC

1. Place the EC sensor in the Nieuwkoop EC 4.00 mS/cm liquid.

2. Press the EC mS button to turn on the instrument.

Press and hold the EC mS button until CAL appears on the display. This is followed by the text EC1.

The reading on the display will start to flash and the ~ sign will appear in the top left of the display. As long as it is visible, the instrument is

calibrating. When the ~ sign disappears and 4.00 is visible on the display, it means the instrument has finished calibrating.

5. Press and hold the EC mS button until the LED on the button will start to flash. The instrument in now calibrated.

Turning off the instrument

Press and hold the EC mS and pH buttons simultaneously to switch off the instrument.
