Help in case of malfunction
Malfunction
Lawn tractor vibrates
severely.
Lawn tractor does not
move off.
Unclean cut.
Grass catcher is not
filled.
Fill level display does
not respond.
Travel drive, brake,
clutch and mower
mechanism.

Cause
Discharge channel/mower deck
blocked.
Air filter contaminated.
Carburettor setting incorrect.
Blades severely worn down.
Ground travel speed too high.
Mower mechanism is damaged.
With hydrostat drive: no travel
drive.
Blade worn, blunt.
Incorrect cutting height.
Engine speed too slow.
Ground travel speed too high.
Different tyre pressures on the
wheels.
Cutting height set too low.
Grass is wet – it is too heavy to
be transported by the air stream.
Blades severely worn down.
Grass too high.
Fabric bag blocked – no air
throughput.
Discharge channel/mower deck
contaminated.
Mown grass stuck to fill level dis-
play lever.
Remedy
Stop engine and remove ignition key!
Clean discharge channel/mower deck.
Clean air filter (see operating instruc-
tions from engine manufacturer).
Have the setting checked (customer
service workshop).
Replace blades (customer service work-
shop).
Reduce ground travel speed.
Check mower mechanism (customer
service workshop).
Move bypass lever to operating position
(see chapter 6.3 "Pushing the lawn trac-
tor (14, 15)", page 37).
Renew or regrind blade. Reground
blades must be rebalanced (customer
service workshop)!
Correct the cutting height.
Set maximum engine speed.
Reduce ground travel speed.
Inflate to correct air pressure. Read off
correct tyre pressure on tyre.
Correct the cutting height.
Mow at a later time when the lawn has
dried.
Change blade. (Customer service work-
shop)
Mow grass twice:
■
1st pass: max. cutting height
■
2nd pass: desired cutting height.
Clean fabric bag.
Clean discharge channel/mower deck.
Remove mown grass from fill level dis-
play lever. Then check for ease of
movement.
Have the check performed only in a cus-
tomer service workshop!
