The homelabs HME021005N dehumidifier may not start if the humidity level set on the unit is higher than or equal to the current room humidity. If the unit shows 49% humidity but the actual humidity is 60%, possible causes include:

1. Humidity sensor malfunction – The unit may be reading the humidity incorrectly.
2. Poor air circulation – If placed in a closet or enclosed area without proper airflow, it may give inaccurate readings and not function correctly.
3. Ambient temperature too high – If the temperature is above 89.6°F, the unit may display an error (e.g., “E3”) and not operate.
4. Full or incorrectly installed bucket – If the water bucket is full or not properly placed, the unit will stop running.
5. Improper drain pipe installation – If the drain pipe is blocked or not installed correctly, the unit may stop and show a full bucket warning.

Check sensor accuracy, airflow, bucket status, temperature, and drain setup.

If the homelabs HME021005N dehumidifier shows 49% humidity but the actual humidity is 60% and it does not start, possible issues include:

1. Poor air circulation, especially if placed in an enclosed area like a closet.
2. The ambient temperature may be above 89.6°F, which can trigger an error (“E3”) and prevent the unit from running.
3. The humidity setting might be set below the actual room humidity, causing the unit to remain off.
4. The Bucket may be full or not installed correctly, stopping operation.
5. The Drain Hose may be blocked or incorrectly installed, especially if using Pump Drain.

Check ambient temperature, bucket status, drain setup, and ensure proper air circulation.
