AN SPEED AND AIRFLOW DIRECTION ADJUSTMENT
Press to select fan speed. Each press changes
fan speed in the following order:
(AUTO) (Low)
• Two short beeps are heard from the indoor unit when set to AUTO.
Press to select airfl ow direction. Each press
changes airfl ow direction in the following order:
(AUTO) (1)
• Two short beeps are heard from the indoor unit when set to AUTO.
• Press for 2 seconds or more to set to horizontal position.
• Press once to cancel horizontal position.
• When the airflow direction is set to horizontal position, or when hori-
zontal position is cancelled, operation stops for about 3 minutes.

Airflow direction

(AUTO) .........The vane is set to the most effi cient airfl ow direction. : horizontal
position.
(Manual) .......For efficient air conditioning, select the upper position for
COOL/DRY. If the position (2),(3),(4) is selected during COOL/
DRY, the vane automatically moves to the position (1) after
0.5 to 1 hour to prevent any condensation from dripping.
(Swing) .........The vane moves up and down intermittently.
Horizontal position
Recommended position during COOL/DRY. Air does not
blow directly to room occupants, providing comfortable airfl ow
distribution.
To change the horizontal airfl ow direction.
Move the vertical vane manually before starting operation.
• When the horizontal vane is in position (1), (2), (3), or (4).
Adjust the vertical vane by moving the tab to the opposite direction of your
preferred air fl ow direction.
• When the horizontal vane is in horizontal position.
Adjust the vertical vane by moving the second vane tabs on both ends of the
vertical vane to the direction of your preferred air fl ow direction.
Caution:
Be careful when adjusting the vertical vanes during operation because the fan
in the indoor unit rotates at high speed.
