1. Slide the cable adjuster boot off the cable adjuster.
2. Squeeze the end of the rubber boot
end of the in-line cable adjuster
3. Loosen the adjuster lock nut
4. Move the cable adjuster until desired freeplay is achieved at the throttle
pedal. While adjusting, lightly flip the throttle pedal up and down.
5. Tighten the lock nut.
6. Apply a small amount of grease to the inside of the boot and slide it over the
cable adjuster to its original position.
BRAKES
The rear brake is a mechanical disc type brakes activated by the brake pedal.
Always check brake pedal travel before each use of the vehicle. When applied,
the brake pedal should feel firm.
If you discover any irregularities in brake system operation, including excessive
pedal travel, contact your dealer for proper diagnosis and repairs.
BRAKE INSPECTION
1. Check the brake pads for wear, damage and
looseness.
2. Inspect the brake pad wear surface for
excessive wear.
3. Change pads when the friction material is
worn to 0.04" (1 mm).
4. Check the surface condition of the brake discs.
Measure the thickness of the front and rear
discs. Replace a disc if the thickness is less
than 1" (2.5 mm).
