Overview

The HKPF-105M HD Audio/Video Multiplexer Board
is designed to multiplex audio and video signals
contained in HD SDI (Serial Digital Interface) signals
conforming to the SMPTE 291M/292M/299M.
The HKPF-105M can be installed in the PFV-HD50A/
HD300 Digital Video Interface Unit. When installed,
the HKPF-105M draws its power from the interface
unit.
Since the HKPF-105M shares the same dimensions
and voltage specifications as the other HKPF-series
boards for the PFV-HD50A/HD300, it can be used in
any combination with the other boards, thus providing
high flexibility in system configurations.
Note
For information regarding the setting of on-board switches,
consult your nearest Sony service center.
The HKPF-105M comprises the following items:

Features of the HKPF-105M

Multiplexing and distribution of audio and
video signals
The HKPF-105M multiplexes four 2-channel AES-3
digital audio signals into one HD SDI video signal and
distributes the multiplexed signal to two lines.
Audio delay function
You can set a delay in the audio signal relative to the
video signal of up to 157 samples + 1 frame.
Selectable channels for audio signal
output
You can select channels 1 to 8 or 9 to 16 for output of
the multiplexed digital audio signal.
Multiplexing of up to sixteen audio channels
By cascading the HKPF-105M with another HKPF-
105M, up to sixteen audio channels can be multiplexed.
Automatic input-signal-format detection
The HKPF-105M can detect and automatically
conform to the format (field frequency and number of
effective scanning lines) of the input HD SDI signal.
The HKPF-105M can conform to the following
formats.
