4.4 Notes on installation of SCP / STP transceivers
Follow the steps below to insert a pluggable transceiver:
1. Make sure that the package is complete (Page 15).
2. Check all the parts for transport damage.
3. Remove the plug-in transceiver from its packaging.
4. Make sure that the bracket at the plug-in transceiver is closed.
5. Insert the pluggable transceiver in the pluggable transceiver slot until you hear it engage, see
figure.
The pluggable transceiver is then firmly secured.
6. Remove the sealing plug of the plug-in transceiver.
7. Insert the connecting cable into the pluggable transceiver until you hear it engage.
The connecting cable is then firmly secured.

If you use components not approved by Siemens AG, in particular SCP / STP transceivers,
