Blower operation
CAUTION:
Do not place the machine on the
ground while it is switched on. Sand or dust may
enter from suction inlet and cause a malfunction or
personal injury.
NOTICE:
Depending on the attached nozzle, the
recoil to the operator may be large when using the
machine due to the high air force of this product.
Adjust the air speed to an appropriate level when
using the machine.
Hold the machine firmly with a hand and perform the
blowing operation by moving it around slowly. When
blowing around building, big stone or vehicle, direct the
nozzle away from them. When performing an operation
in a corner, start from the corner and then move to wide
area.

Setting down the machine
Before setting down the portable power pack, remove
the machine from the portable power pack.
1.
Disconnect the plug of the machine and the socket
of the portable power pack.
2.
Remove the cord of the machine from the cord
holder of the waist belt (for PDC1500 only).
3.
Remove the hook of the hanging band from the
ring of the shoulder harness with one hand while hold-
ing the machine with the other hand, and then set down
the machine.
4.
Unlock the buckle of the chest belt (for PDC1500
only), and unlock the buckle of the waist belt, and then
set down the portable power pack slowly.

You can also set down the machine as follows.
1.
Disconnect the plug of the machine and the socket
of the portable power pack.
2.
Unlock the buckle on the hanging band with one
hand while holding the machine with the other hand.

MAINTENANCE

CAUTION:
Always be sure that the machine is
switched off and the portable power pack is dis-
connected from the machine before attempting to
perform inspection or maintenance.
To maintain product SAFETY and RELIABILITY,
repairs, any other maintenance or adjustment should
be performed by Makita Authorized or Factory Service
Centers, always using Makita replacement parts.
Cleaning the machine
Clean the machine by wiping off dust with a dry cloth or
one dipped in soapy water and wrung out.

NOTICE:
Never use gasoline, benzine, thinner,
alcohol or the like. Discoloration, deformation or
cracks may result.
Remove dust or dirt from the suction inlet at the rear of
the machine.

Storage
Before storing the machine, disconnect the portable
power pack from the machine, and perform full main-
tenance. Store the machine in a place out of the reach
of children and not exposed to moisture, rain, or direct
sunlight.
The hook hole on the bottom of the machine is conve-
nient for hanging the machine from a nail or screw on
the wall.
