Select "OFF" in Step 2.
eTVS DYNAMIC
Creates virtual rear speakers from the sound
of|he front speakers (L, R) without using
actual rear speakers (shown below).
This mode is effective when the distance
between _he front L and R speakers is short,
such as with built-in speakers on a stereo TV.

• TVS WIDE
(-'reatas virtual rear speakers from the sound
of_he front speakers (L, R) without using
actual rear speakers. Tbe virtual speakers are
reproduced as shown in _he illustration
below.
This mode is effective when the distance

Creates virtual rear speakers l]'om the sound
of|he front speakers (L, R) without using
actual reor speakers. The virtual speakers are
reproduced as shown in the illustrolion
below. Use this setting when you want to use
TVS wilh 2 separale speakers.

• YOU can also select "TVS" by pressing the
SURROUND bunion on the player.
• You Call also select "TVS" from the Conlrol
Menu (page 12t.
• When the playing signal does not contain a signal
for _he rear speakers, the surround eftkcts cannol
be heard.
• When you select one of the TVS modes, tm_ off
the surround setting of the connected TV or
amplifier (receiver).
• Make sure _hat your listening position is between
and at an equal distance from your speakers, and
that the speakers are located in similar
surroundings.
• "TVS NIGHT" only works with Dolby Digital
discs. However, no_all discs wil! respond to the
"TVS NIGHT" function in the same way.

suppressed, but _he quieter sounds are
unaffected. This thamre is uselhl when you
wont to hear the dialog and enjoy the
surround sound effects of "TVS WIDE" at
low volume.
