Nicht- einhaltung oder fehlerhafte Einhaltung können zu Funktionsstörungen führen oder schwere Verletzungen bis hin zum Tod verursachen. Jeder Anwender ist vor Gebrauch der PSA-Atemschutzausrüstung ver- pflichtet, die Kapazität des Luftversorgungssystems, ggf. Auswirkungen auf weitere Anwender des Systems, zu prüfen.

Lebensgefahr durch Explosion Durch Verwendung der Halbmaske in explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen der Ex-Zone 0 kann es zur Explosion kommen. → Die Halbmaske niemals in explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen der Ex- Zone 0 bringen.

  • Page 9 Betriebsanleitung SATA air star C Hinweis! Zur Reinigung der Atemluft von Ölnebeldämpfen muss der Aktivkohlefil- ter SATA filter 464 (# 92247) zwischengeschaltet werden. Der Aktivkoh- lefilter muss regelmäßig auf einwandfreie Funktion geprüft und gewartet werden. Um eine Sättigung der Aktivkohlepatrone zu vermeiden, muss diese nach 3 Monaten ausgetauscht werden. Der Zeitindikator ist im Lieferumfang jedes Filters und jeder Ersatzpatro- ne enthalten! Hinweis!   • Page 10 Betriebsanleitung SATA air star C 9. Regelbetrieb Hinweis! Vor jedem Gebrauch ist eine Funktionsprüfung mit der Halbmaske durchzuführen. Dies umfasst: ■ Überprüfung der Gummidichtung, Kopfbänder sowie unteren Bänder (siehe Kapitel 10.4) ■ Überprüfung der Nutzungsdauer des Aktivkohleadsorbers / des Aktiv- kohlefilters (siehe Kapitel 9.1)

Gesundheitsgefährdung durch Vergiftung Durch nicht korrektes Anliegen der Halbmaske am Gesicht können Schadstoffe von außen eindringen. → Beide Enden des Kopfbandes nachziehen, bis Halbmaske komplett am Gesicht anliegt. ■ Bänder und Gummidichtung auf Beschädigungen prüfen, ggf. austau- schen (siehe Kapitel 10.4).

Nach Ablauf der Nutzungsdauer von max. 3 Monaten muss der Aktiv- kohleadsorber ausgetauscht werden. Die aktuelle Nutzungsdauer kann über die Datumsuhr [7-5] auf dem Schutzkorb abgelesen werden. ■ Absperrventil an Luftanschluss [1-11] schließen.

    Betriebsanleitung SATA air star C ■ Einatemmembranen am Zapfen vorsichtig ausknüpfen und auf Risse oder anderweitige Beschädigungen sichtprüfen. ■ Einatemmembranen hinter dem Zapfen vorsichtig einknüpfen. ■ Einatemmembrane muss innen gleichmäßig auf der Dichtfläche auflie- gen. ■ Sicherstellen, dass die Einatemmembrane nicht am Ventilsitz festklebt. Ausatemmembrane überprüfen ■ Maskenkappe vom Maskenkörper abknüpfen.

  • Page 24 The standing time of the activated carbon adsorber in the belt unit and the quality of the breathing air depend significantly on the pre-clean- ing of the supplied compressed air. That is why the SATA filter 444 (# 92296) with automatic condensate drain must be mounted upstream.
  • Page 25 Operating manual SATA air star C Note! To clean the breathing air of oil vapours, the activated carbon filter SATA filter 464 (# 92247) must be interconnected. The activated carbon filter must be checked for functionality and maintained on a regular basis. To avoid a saturation of the activated carbon cartridge, it must be replaced after 3 months.
