    1. Areas of use and conditions The SATA air star C Respirator Set is a highly effective facility for health protection while painting or per- forming other work in a health-hazardous environment. The set consists of a half mask which is supplied with filtered respiratory air, a waistbelt unit with activated-carbon filter, and an additional connection for a compressed-air unit, fig.

  • Page 5 Instructions for use and maintenance SATA air star C 5. Use 5.1 Putting the half-mask on (1) Pull the loops of the holder frame to the end of the bands. Pass the lower bands through completely until the loops of holder frame are next to the mask cap of the half-mask body.
  • Page 6 - The respirator must only be operated with the approved compressed-air supply hose (max. lenght 10 m) with safety rapid-action coupler (e.g. SATA Art. No. 49080, 6 m) Warning: To disconnect the safety rapid-action coupler simply depress the coupling nipple into the coupler and simultaneously push back the sliding sleeve.

    The mask can be easily dismantled without tools for cleaning purposes or to replace defecti- ve parts. If spare parts are required, only use original spare parts from SATA. The half mask must be thoroughly cleaned after each use to remove interior perspiration and condensation.
